Dr. Chrono partnered with World Wide Village’s Community Health Initiative to use its iPad EMR platform in the care of those still struggling from last year’s earthquake. The effort coincided with the one-year anniversary of the event.

“It was an amazing experience to bring the world’s most cutting-edge mobile health care technology to those in such dire need,” commented Dr. Matthew Krasucki, senior medical director for Dr. Chrono.

During his time in Haiti, Dr. Krasucki worked with a team of U.S. physicians to treat more than 1,000 patients. Dr. Chrono’s iPad EHR platform was used to record the entire visit, including vitals, medications prescribed, and diagnosis.

Dr. Krasucki added, “The use of an EHR in a third world country such as Haiti is unprecedented. We have embarked on a radically improved shift in the continuity of care for Haitian patients.”

Added Dr. Joshua White, co-director of Community Health Initiatives for WWV: “Even a year after the earthquake, many are still struggling to cope with effects. Dr. Chrono’s iPad EHR allows us to track our Haitian patients in ways that were previously impossible. It will allow us to direct our health-care interventions and bring real progress to their lives.”
