New patients who do not have dental benefits can schedule a free comprehensive exam and X-rays at any of the 125 Coast Dental practices in Florida and Georgia through the end of July 2011.

Coast will waive the $75 first-year membership fee for its discount dental plan, Smile Plus, so patients can receive savings on treatment s that may be needed, even if they don’t have dental insurance.

New patients will receive a free InteliSonic sonic toothbrush with UV sanitizer to incorporate into their daily home care regimen upon completion of services, valued at $300. InteliSonic has been clinically proven to remove more plaque on teeth and at the gum line than a manual toothbrush.

The UV sanitizer is built in to the charging base, and has been proven to kill the majority of germs on brush head surfaces, including H1N1, for a cleaner brushing experience.

“During tough economic times people tend to put off dental checkups, said Coast Dental Chief Clinical Director Dr. Cindy Roark.

“Addressing small dental problems before they become larger is healthier and often less expensive. We know oral health is connected to serious systemic conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes. So, a visit to the dentist is about much more than maintaining a healthy and beautiful smile. It’s also about maintaining good overall health.”
