The program, titled Dental Implant Overdenture Therapy: Current Concepts and Techniques, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 17, 2011, at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest.

The dental implant overdenture therapy is a treatment modality with the potential of significantly improving the quality of patients’ lives. In order to accomplish consistent and predictable treatment outcomes in general practice, an understanding of the fundamental principles of implant biomechanics, prosthetic, surgical and treatment planning considerations is required.

Dr. Leopardi’s objective for the presentation is to bring these factors into perspective, through an understanding of current literature and how this relates to clinical practice.

Discussion points will include:

• Treatment planning
• Prosthetic design: stress broken versus rigid design concepts
• Bar overdentures
• Stand-alone attachment systems: Zest Locator and Ball-abutment systems
• Immediate versus delayed loading

As a special offer, Heraeus will raffle off two foursomes to Legacy on Lanier Golf Club, as well as free gift cards and an Apple iPad 2.

Attendance to the program is free.
