MELVILLE, New York--Henry Schein Dental, the U.S. dental division of Henry Schein, has been named one of Wisconsin’s Top 100 Workplaces for 2011 by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the largest newspaper in Wisconsin. To read more about Henry Schein, go to Henry Schein.For the second consecutive year, the Journal Sentinel, worked with WorkplaceDynamics, a Philadelphia-based workplace research organization, to determine the area's top places to work. Researchers at the firm invited 1,063 companies to participate in the survey. Of these, 204 chose to participate and were categorized based on their size as small, mid-sized or large. Henry Schein Dental, a provider of health-care products and services to office-based practitioners, was selected as one of 35 mid-sized companies on the basis of employees’ secure responses to 18 survey questions. “Henry Schein Dental’s inclusion in this list as one of the top workplaces in Wisconsin is very gratifying and a testament to the values-based culture that we share throughout Team Schein,” said Tim Sullivan, president of Henry Schein Dental. “Without question, our people are our greatest asset, and our shared commitment to providing our customers with the very best products and services possible to enhance their dental practices is what drives us each day.” Of 211 employees at the company’s West Allis, Wis., facility, an overwhelming majority--92%--participated in the survey, which evaluated six underlying factors within the workplace. These include: the overall direction of the company, execution of objectives, workplace conditions, career opportunity, competency of managers, and pay and benefits.
