Early sign-ups by U.S. dental manufacturers for IDEM Singapore 2012 indicate strong interest from companies seeking to expand their sales into the Pacific Rim region. The show covers the spectrum of dental medicine and dental technology--from materials and instruments, prophylaxis products, pharmaceuticals to dental surgery and laboratory equipment. The trade show will be accompanied by a scientific conference program that will focus on the latest scientific trends and developments organized by the Singapore Dental Association. So far, 10 companies have secured booths at the IDEM USA Pavilion organized by Koelnmesse in Chicago. The USA Pavilion has received certification from the U.S. Department of Commerce, recognizing the export potential for U.S. manufacturers in this region. A dedicated commercial service officer from the U.S. Department of Commerce in Singapore will assist U.S. companies with matchmaking services prior to and during IDEM. “IDEM Singapore is an excellent marketing opportunity for companies who are committed to broadening their exposure within South East Asian marketplace," said Weston Pettersen, international sales manager at Zimmer Dental. "We have been exhibiting at the IDEM for several years ,and the wonderful venue is a great place to meet customers, distributors, and prospective partners." Richard Campos, international sales and marketing manager at Air Techniques, added: “When we entered the southeast Asian market eight years ago, we could have easily sold our digital imaging systems directly to dental offices, but we resisted that temptation. Instead we successfully concentrated on finding distributors. Our sales to this region have grown continuously, and we are ready to display new product lines at the upcoming event.”Mette Petersen, president and managing director of Koelnmesse, Chicago, noted: “U.S. dental products are in high demand in this part of the world. More than 30% of dental imports into Singapore come from the U.S. We expect 25 to 30 U.S. companies to take part at IDEM 2012, most of them via our well-established USA Pavilion.“Show management expects around 375 companies and 6,500 visitors from the Pacific Rim region to be in attendance at IDEM Singapore 2012. Attendees are dealers, distributors, dentists, dental technicians, hygienists, and dental students.International companies use IDEM to launch products by finding distribution in the ASEAN countries, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, and Malaysia. National pavilions from many countries take advantage of this event, including large groups from Switzerland, the UK, Germany, Korea, and Taiwan.More information regarding IDEM 2012, can be obtained by contacting Franz Balve, U.S. sales manager of IDEM 2012, at (732) 933-1117 or by email at [email protected] e-mail address is protected from spambots. avaScript enabled is needed to view it.For more information, go to www.idem-singapore.com and www.koelnmessenafta.com.To comment on this subject, go to community.pennwelldentalgroup.com/.
