Second-year students attending the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology participated in a hands-on training course on VITA VM13 porcelains.
EDMONTON, Alberta--Second-year students attending the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology participated in a hands-on training course on VITA VM13 porcelains. Led by lecturers Jason Lohr, RDT, CDT, and Ken Chizick, RDT, CDT, attendees learned how to use a modified 3-D ceramic build-up and an advanced 3-D ceramic build-up technique. The purpose of the course was to demonstrate the versatility of using VITA VM13 porcelains for several metal ceramics applications by using a step-by-step technique. Each participant was given the knowledge and tools to build two anterior restorations with special emphasis placed on exploring color.
