LAS VEGAS, Nevada--More than 28,000 attendees from 79 different countries are scheduled to attend the American Dental Association’s 152nd Annual Session and World Marketplace Exhibition Oct. 10-13, 2011, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

The meeting is estimated to generate approximately $12 million in revenue to local businesses.

The ADA Annual Session will bring together leaders in dental practice, research, academia, and industry to present hundreds of continuing education courses during four days. Annual session attendees have booked more than 25,000 hotel nights estimated to generate nearly $6 million in revenue.

ADA launches virtual component of 2011 annual meeting

The ADA and its affiliate organizations are scheduled to purchase an estimated $2 million in food and drinks, and meeting attendees are estimated to spend approximately $4 million during their stay.

The ADA Annual Session is one of the largest dental trade shows in the U.S., and was the 11th largest domestic medical meeting in 2010, according to the Healthcare Convention and Exhibitors Association.
