MELVILLE, New York--Henry Schein, a distributor of health-care products and services to office-based practitioners, has announced that its U.S. dental subsidiary, Henry Schein Dental, has been presented the Honorary Corporate Sponsorship award by the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.The award was presented in recognition of the company’s dedication to the dental hygiene profession and support of the ADHA. The award presentation took place during the 2011 Center for Lifelong Learning at the ADHA’s 88th Annual Session in Nashville, Tenn. The ADHA’s Honorary Corporate Membership Award is presented to companies that provide financial support in excess of $15,000 annually for programs that empower, support, and develop dental hygienists and dental hygiene students across the United States. This is the 20th consecutive year that the award was presented to Henry Schein Dental.Henry Schein Cares Foundation, Henry Schein Cares contribute to disaster relief effortsHenry Schein Dental has provided ongoing support for the student table clinics and research poster sessions held each year during the ADHA annual session. Henry Schein Dental’s co-sponsorship of this program enables more than 50 student posters and table clinics to be entered for evaluation.
