Volusia County Sheriff's officials say Virginia Graham started screaming in pain as 57-year-old Michael Hammonds adjusted her dentures Tuesday afternoon.

Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught says Graham pulled out the dentures and threw them at Hammonds, demanding a refund. When he refused, Graham grabbed at the dentures and the two scuffled over them. Graham told deputies she bit the dentist's fingers to make him let go.

Deputies say Hammonds screamed in the woman's face.

When she tried to leave, deputies say Hammonds grabbed her arms. When deputies arrived, she had blood on her arms and shirt.

Hammonds faces charges including false imprisonment, battery, and assault on a person over 65.
