SOUTH BEND, Indiana—Heraeus Kulzer, a leader in dental esthetics, has announced that Gluma Desensitizer PowerGel received a Best Product 2012 designation in a peer-to-peer evaluation published in the March issue of the journal Dental Product Shopper.
The product was comprehensively evaluated by an independent panel of 12 dentists and hygienists with an average of more than 23 years of clinical experience. Evaluation criteria included: ease of use of syringe; ease of controlling placement; effectiveness of green color to aid in accurate placement; convenience of gel; effectiveness at reducing or eliminating sensitivity (based on patient feedback); and ease of chair side use.
On a scale of 1.0 to 5.0, Gluma PowerGel receive a score of at least 4.0 on every single attribute. The product’s green color was a particular hit with the evaluators. Ninety-two percent of the evaluators said they probably or definitely would buy Gluma Desensitizer PowerGel for their practice.
The original Gluma Desensitizer has been used in more than 50 million restorations. The latest addition to the line, Gluma Desensitizer PowerGel, is a one-step gel formula desensitizer that allows for greater control and accuracy during application. In addition, its green-color indicator provides visual ease of placement and rinse-clean capability.
