FAIR LAWN, New Jersey--The Dental Implant Training Center, which offers courses and training programs for the dental implant novice to the experienced oral surgeon, has announced an upcoming course instructed by dental industry thought leader, Dr. Maurice A. Salama. The two-day, hands-on course--entitled Critical Soft & Hard Tissue Techniques in Esthetic and Implant Dentistry-- will take place Feb. 24-25, 2012, and cover everything from site preparation, suggested materials, and recommended products to maintaining tooth and soft tissue esthetic appeal and complete grafting techniques. Course attendees will have the opportunity to exercise these techniques on both soft- and hard-tissue models. Necessary materials for a hands-on experience, including surgical instruments and graft and suture materials, will also be provided. Course instructor Dr. Salama is on the faculties of the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Georgia, as clinical assistant professor of periodontics, and has received specialized training in orthodontics, periodontal surgery, and implant dentistry.
