SOUTH BEND, Indiana—Heraeus Kulzer, a leader in dental esthetics, has announced that iBond Total-Etch bonding agent received a “4 ½-plus” rating from the Dental Advisor.
The iBOND Total Etch bottle kit was evaluated by 27 consultants in 647 uses and received a 94% clinical rating.
Consultants commented on iBOND Total Etch’s good wettability of tooth surfaces and low film thickness. They liked the one-coat application and low level of odor. One consultant volunteered that only one application was required, while another complimented the product for the absence of postoperative sensitivity. Among consultants, 78% said they would switch to iBOND Total Etch, and 96% would recommend it.

It contains nanofillers in an ethanol solvent, and can be applied in one coat. Light curing time is 20 seconds. No refrigeration is required once the bottle is opened for first use.
“While we are gratified by this very flattering evaluation, we were certainly not surprised,” said Heraeus Product Manager Amanda Holland.
“Another highly respected independent product evaluation organization tested iBOND Total Etch head-to-head against the market leader and concluded that our product was clearly superior in bond strength to both dentin and enamel. We have always felt that iBOND Total Etch is the best etch-and-rinse bonding agent on the market, and these impressive independent testing results have only strengthened our conviction.”
