As you read this, I’m officially in Chicago Midwinter mode. I left Tulsa this morning for the Windy City, and the whirlwind of meetings, get-togethers, and seeing friends begins shortly after I step off the plane at O’Hare. The annual mecca to Chicago has become one of the highlights of the year for me as it has (in my opinion) become THE meeting in the United States for product launches.
Speaking of product launches, whether or not you are going to the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, be sure to download and print out the PDF of the “New Products to See at Chicago Midwinter” article that is included in this issue of the Proofs e-newsletter (click here to view it). This is the same article that was printed in the February issue of Dental Economics, so these are the products that dental professionals will be checking out in Chicago. Make sure you have the same information as your customers by viewing the same products they will be seeing.
While in Chicago, I’ll be checking the pulse of various exhibitors and how they think the 2012 trade show season is going so far. While in Boston at the Yankee Dental Congress, several exhibitors told me they were happy with the traffic and sales. Will Chicago carry that momentum forward? That’s the big question. Midwinter always seems to be a “litmus test” for how the dental teams and dental industry are feeling about the economy, so I’ll be anxious to get your thoughts and comments from what you see and hear as well.
If you’ll be in Chicago, please stop me and say hi if you see me in the exhibit hall. If you ever have any suggestions or comments on editorial (e-newsletter or print), drop me a line at [email protected]. I’m always glad to hear from you.
Read on, this is your e-newsletter…
