Company continues a 13-year tradition of support of the Smile For Life program.

CULVER CITY, California--Discus Dental has announced helping the Crown Council raise more than $1.35 million this year in the Smile For Life Campaign.

The campaign will benefit more than 200 local children’s charities in communities where Crown Council members live in the U.S. and Canada.

“For 13 years, Discus has enthusiastically supported the Smile For Life Campaign because we believe in the amazing work these charities do for children,” said Robert Cartagena, chief operating officer of Discus Dental. “Our partnership with the Crown Council is one we treasure and are extremely proud to have been a part of this very special program.”

Funds from Smiles For Life also benefitted the International Humanitarian efforts of Crown Council members. This year, more than 350 dental practices participated in the Smile For Life campaign.

In addition, members of the Crown Council and their dental teams make numerous trips to the Dominican Republic with the help of Esperenza International and local dentists to deliver dental care to poor communities in the area.

The Smiles for Life Foundation is the children’s charity organization of the Crown Council, an organization of dentists throughout North America. Each year during a four-month period, Crown Council dentists participating in the Smiles for Life campaign offer professional teeth whitening services at a reduced price and donate 100% of the proceeds to children’s charities.

The Crown Council’s Smiles for Life Foundation has raised more than $27 million since 1998, benefiting nearly 500 children’s charities across North America.
