Mint Hill Dentistry, winner of the 2009 Matsco Dental Office Design of the Year competition for a group practice, has installed mounts in its newly constructed center in North Carolina.

AUSTIN, Texas--Ergodontics has announced that Mint Hill Dentistry, winner of the 2009 Matsco Dental Office Design of the Year competition for a group practice, has installed Pendulum Mounts in its newly constructed center in Mint Hill, N.C.

“The Pendulum Mounts have facilitated the integration of technology in our treatment rooms while improving patient comfort,” said Dr. Taso Roupas, dentist at Mint Hill Dentistry.

“With the flexible movement of these mounts, we do not have to move patients to show them, or their parents, intraoral photos or patient education videos. Furthermore, with the proper placement of the display, patients maintain a desired head position during procedures, thereby increasing our efficiency.”

Added Bruce Butler, president of Ergodontics: “We’re thrilled that Mint Hill Dentistry has received this award, which reflects the time and effort the dentists spent to achieve an effectively designed facility. This marks the fourth time that one of our customers has received a Matsco Dental Office Design award, the premier design award in the dental industry.”

The Pendulum Mount suspends a flat-panel display from the ceiling, negating the need for intrusive posts. The various models can accommodate a range of ceiling heights and monitor sizes.

With its rotating arm, the Pendulum Mount provides a range of positioning--whether a patient is reclined or seated upright--while concealing cables.
