MADISON, Wisconsin--The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry unveiled the Big Idea--a new approach to dental continuing education--at its 26th Annual Scientific Session April 27-May 1, 2010, in Grapevine, Texas. Approximately 2,000 dental professionals from around the world gathered for the world's largest cosmetic dental CE event. "The Big Idea embodied the AACD's platform of progressive dental continuing education," said new AACD President Hugh Flax, DDS, Atlanta, Ga. "Through collaborative team learning, integrating social media, and embracing new technologies, the AACD continues to lead our profession into the future." After more than a year in the making, the AACD released a new logo to academy members. The new AACD brand is the culmination of a comprehensive organizational assessment in order to solidify the academy as the preeminent resource in cosmetic dental education and information through responsible esthetics.
