CHICAGO--What happens when more than 2,000 general dentists gather for a little fun in the sun while earning continuing education and networking with peers who are dedicated to excellent patient care through lifelong learning?

You get the Academy of General Dentistry's 56th Annual Meeting & Exhibits in Orlando, Fla. The event, set to take place July 16-20, is the only dental meeting dedicated exclusively to advancing the value and excellence of general dentistry.

"The AGD's Annual Meeting & Exhibits is the premier general dentistry event of the year," said AGD President, Vincent Mayher, DMD, MAGD. "Dentists who attend the AGD's annual meeting are committed to quality and excellence. They are general practitioners, educators, leaders and powerful advocates, who wield tremendous influence with the highest standards of integrity--that's the AGD Difference."

During the five-day event, attendees can participate in high-caliber hands-on participation courses and sessions gaining an opportunity to earn up to 32 continuing education credits focused on topics ranging from periodontics to financial wellness, and more.

General dentists are expected to come from around the world to network with colleagues, visit more than 200 exhibits, learn cutting-edge techniques and procedures, and enjoy the AGD's world-class social events and guest tours.

Dental teams are encouraged to come for free if their dentist registers for the full meeting, and this year the AGD has added more dental team courses to help train teams in the best practices in dental care.

"In 2007, the AGD hosted its largest annual meeting in ten years with more than 5,050 attendees and we are looking forward to an even greater turn out at AGD2008Orlando," said Dr. Mayher.

Registration for the 2008 Annual Meeting & Exhibits is now open and attendees can register online, by fax or mail. To learn more about AGD2008Orlando or to register for this event, visit www.agd2008orlando.org.
