Year-long centennial celebration kicks off Feb. 22 at the Midwinter Dental Meeting in Chicago.

CHICAGO--Hu-Friedy, a manufacturer of hand-held dental instruments, has announced the celebration of its 100th year in business serving dentists and dental hygienists.

The year-long centennial celebration kicks off Feb. 22 at the Midwinter Dental Meeting, and will be followed by a party that evening.

A Chicago-based company, Hu-Friedy was founded in 1908, and today is owned by the Saslow Family. Throughout the years, dentists and dental hygienists have relied on the company to deliver the precision and craftsmanship in instrumentation that is critical to efficient dental practice management.

"Our centennial celebration is about the trust our customers place in Hu-Friedy and its employees, said Ron Saslow, CEO and president. "At the end of the day, our customers allow us to look ahead with a shared optimism that the Hu-Friedy community is here to make a difference. We're humbled and appreciative of the trust our customers place with us everyday. From innovations in precision instrumentation such as the Wilkins/Tufts probe, to the company's focus on improving the management of in-office infection control, Hu-Friedy has been a true friend and partner in helping dentists and hygienists do their job better."

Hu-Friedy invites visitors to its newly designed exhibit booth at the Midwinter Dental Meeting (booth #1811) and to the Enclave night club starting at 6 pm. Enclave is located at 220 West Chicago Ave., downtown Chicago.
