Duo will offer continuing education on the role dental professionals can play in the recovery and future use of stem cells.

StemSave, a leader in stem cell recovery and cryo-preservation, has partnered with Hu-Friedy's online dental hygiene community, Friends of Hu-Friedy, to offer continuing education on the role dental professionals can play in the recovery and future use of stem cells.

Researchers at the National Institutes of Health have discovered powerful adult stem cells in the dental pulp of baby teeth, impacted wisdom teeth and healthy permanent teeth.

Stem cells from teeth are 'plastic;' they can be manipulated to grow into many different cell types such as, bone, muscle, cartilage, skin, neural tissue and cells of vital organs. Medical researchers around the world are working today to develop new treatments from stem cells for a range of diseases and injuries.

StemSave is a collaborative effort between stem cell researchers and the dental community to provide families and individuals a cost effective, noninvasive methodology for the recovery and cryopreservation of powerful and valuable stem cells residing within the pulp of healthy teeth for use in future regenerative and personalized medical therapies.
