Piezo diamonds provide precision

Dentists have a choice of piezo diamond tips to match the application.

When you're preparing a small area, piezo diamonds allow a precision that's almost impossible to duplicate with rotary instruments, according to Parkell, Inc.

Piezo diamonds can be used in a TurboPIEZO or EMS scaler to quickly trim overhangs, open pulp chambers, remove stained margins around composite restorations, and smooth and refine bur-cut preps.

The dentist simply touches the surface with one of these diamonds and tooth structure disappears as if it were being erased on a computer screen. The piezo (especially the fine grit) rapidly creates a smooth, meticulous cut. This speeds up endo procedures, especially on heavily calcified canal orifices.

Dentists have a choice of piezo diamond tips to match the application. Designed to be used methodically in short bursts for maximum precision, piezo diamonds are available in three grits (fine, medium and coarse) and two shapes (straight and curved) for $75.99 each.
