Hu-Friedy races through 15 cities spreading support for Y-ME

Hu-Friedy will be participating in the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization's Mother's Day Race to Empower.

CHICAGO--2008 is a special year for Hu-Friedy and the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization. It marks Hu-Friedy's 100th birthday and Y-ME's 30th anniversary.

Hu-Friedy will be participating in the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization's Mother's Day Race to Empower for the second year and the company has caught the "pink ribbon bug."

After raising more than $20,000 in donations in 2007, Hu-Friedy has pledged to continue its support by establishing teams in each of the15 Y-ME race cities -Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Haven, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, Springfield (Ill.), Tulsa, Washington DC.

Teams have already begun to form under the Hu-Friedy name in many of the race cities including representation from the American Association of Women Dentists.
