OREM, UTAH--Aribex, a leader in handheld X-ray technologies, is celebrating inclusion in the 2009 Inc. 500/5000, the magazine's annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.
Described as redefining its industry, Aribex showed three-year growth of 549.7 percent, earning the company the 476th spot.
"We're proud to be included with such an elite group," said D. Clark Turner, PhD, president and CEO of Aribex. "Our growth is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our Aribex team members and an additional validation of the wide acceptance of our ground-breaking NOMAD handheld X-ray platform. Even more satisfying is the fact that our device has allowed practitioners to bring improved diagnostic health care to hundreds of thousands of people around the world."
Aribex was founded in 2003 in a search for a portable, lightweight dental X-ray system. Unlike the wall-mount systems dentists traditionally used, the cordless NOMAD is handheld.
Today, NOMAD devices have been used in professional offices, as well as providing access to care in the most remote humanitarian clinics. Additionally, NOMAD products have received accolades in the forensic and veterinary fields.
"Since debuting in 1991 with 100 of the fastest-growing private U.S. companies, then expanding the following year to the Inc. 500 and again in 2007 to the Inc. 5000, the list has served as evidence of the significant accomplishments of entrepreneurial companies," said Jane Berentson, editor of Inc.
"As an Inc. 500 honoree, Aribex shares a prestigious pedigree with such notable alumni as Intuit, GoDaddy, Under Armour, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Patagonia, Oracle and scores of other powerhouses."
Added Turner: "We hope one day to achieve the level of success of those Inc. 500 companies that have gone on to become international corporate giants. Our entrepreneurial success today can be attributed to our continued focus on what we can become tomorrow."
The list will be available in the September edition of the magazine.
