The Materials in Dentistry Conference will be held May 8, 2009, at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining in London, England.

Organized by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, the one-day conference will update dentists, dental practitioners, and materials research workers with recent advances in new materials and processes in the field of dentistry.

Dental materials, processes, and techniques are the subject of much applied research and development work. The translation of this technology into new products is big business.

This conference will enable professionals in the field of dentistry to keep one step ahead of their competitors by understanding the technology behind the new materials and processes that are on the market today and in the pipeline for tomorrow.

Internationally renowned clinicians and leading academics will cover issues including prosthodontic and endodontic materials, glass ionomer cements, composite and compomers, ceramics, alginate impressions, smart materials, maxillofacial implants and adhesives.

The event will constitute six hours of verifiable CPD.

Exhibition space is available for companies that would like to exhibit their new materials or products in this area.

The conference is co-sponsored by the King's College London Dental Institute.
