Angled Zirconia abutment provides convenient restorative solution

Jan. 20, 2009
Angled at 17-degrees, the abutment offers a natural-looking base for an all-ceramic, cement-retained crown in the esthetic zone.

Zimmer Dental Inc., a provider of dental oral rehabilitation products and a subsidiary of Zimmer Holdings, Inc., has announced the Zimmer Contour Angled Zirconia Abutment is available in the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and Australia.

Engineered for use with its Tapered Screw-Vent implants, the Zimmer Contour Angled Zirconia Abutment provides clinicians with a convenient, off-the-shelf restorative solution for patients' esthetic needs.

Delivering a combination of strength, esthetics and simplicity, the Zimmer Contour Angled Zirconia Abutment carries on the tradition of the Hex-Lock Contour Abutment System.

In addition, like the straight Contour Zirconia Abutment, the angled abutment's titanium ring provides a stable titanium-to-titanium fit with the Tapered Screw-Vent implant for added reliability.

Angled at 17-degrees, the Zimmer Contour Angled Zirconia Abutment provides a natural-looking base for an all-ceramic, cement-retained crown in the esthetic zone.

The abutment collar is contoured below the margin to create space for soft tissue without compromising strength or quality. Combined with the bio-compatible zirconia material, this can create a pleasing result.
