CHARLOTTE, North Carolina--The National Children's Oral Health Foundation: America's Toothfairy has beeny awarded grants totaling $102,859 to 10 not-for-profit community, university, and hospital-based dental programs nationwide.

Facilities are members of NCOHF's national affiliate network, dedicated to delivering comprehensive oral health treatment and preventive educational programs to millions of underserved children and their families.

Fern Ingber, NCOHF president and CEO, expressed gratitude to NCOHF donors.

"NCOHF is fortunate to have generous individual and corporate partners who share our commitment to eliminate pediatric dental disease, the No. 1 chronic childhood illness in America," she said.

"Funding from our dedicated supporters allows NCOHF to continue providing our Affiliates with the resources to give underserved children suffering from pediatric dental disease access to life-changing, smile-saving oral health services."

These major donors include Microdental, Discus Dental, and Heraeus Kulzer.

"We feel very honored to receive this generous support from a great organization, which is truly devoted to the children and their families in underserved communities," said Dr. Brent Lin, associate clinical professor at University of Southern California–San Francisco. UCSF received the Heraeus Toothfairy grant.

"In this time of economic difficulty in our state, NCOHF has stepped up and helped to support outreach activities and programs which may otherwise be eliminated due to the current state budget.
