National Association of Dental Laboratories is named Association of the Year

The National Association of Dental Laboratories was named 2006 Association of the Year by the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives. NADL was chosen primarily because of its work with Hurricane Katrina victims.

The day following Hurricane Katrina's destruction NADL's staff, headed by Ricki Braswell, CAE and Bennett Napier, CAE, co-executive directors, sprang into action on how to help the victims. NADL raised over $200,000 and was distributed within 24 hours per request. Each recipient received $800 to aide their recovery from Katrina.

Braswell stated, "As a national association we recognize that we do not have the luxury of just serving our paying members, instead we are responsible for all 12,000 dental laboratories and the people who work in them and therefore the association's leadership and staff work with that in the forefront of our minds."

With the approval of NADL's members and leadership, the association has a full fledged disaster relief fund assisting the laboratory industry in their time of need.

The efforts were acted upon in a swift manner due to the efficiency of NADL's staff, the quick response from the Board, the coming together of the entire dental laboratory community, and vendor partners who were willing to donate their work toward the efforts.

The National Association of Dental Laboratories is a trade association representing dental laboratories and is managed by Partners in Association Management, a professional management firm located in Tallahassee, Fla. NADL is the unified voice for the dental laboratory industry, supporting the dental profession and serving the public interest by promoting high standards.
