The site is a free, pioneering, eNetworking utility designed exclusively for dental professionals and their student counterparts. In addition to creating a safe, fun, exclusive online community from which dental professionals and practices can network on a global level, eDentalSpace Inc. is committed to helping grow the next generation of business savvy dental professionals.
On an annual basis, one qualified essayist from each www.eDentalSpace.com participating US dental school will be awarded $1,500. From this group, the overall award-winning essayist will receive an additional $10,000 and an all-expense-paid trip for two to Hawaii.

An annual Business Aptitude Essay Award Program, "eDSEF has been created to perpetuate a focus on the business aspect of dentistry among resident dental practitioners, so that they may be better prepared for the entrepreneurial aspect of their future dental career," added Bailey, who is also managing director of Capital4HealthCare, LLC. The company serves professionals nationwide with prudent practice advice and exceptional practice finance solutions.

eDSEF Business Aptitude Essay Award details
Mission: To recognize the resident practitioner that distinguishes him/herself by demonstrating a keen interest and/or measurable aptitude for the business of dentistry.
* Any resident dental practitioner from any participating US dental school may submit their CV along with an essay not to exceed 5,000 words, titled "The Business of Dentistry."
* Submissions must be received by Feb. 1 of each calendar year, beginning in 2008.
* Award Recipients are chosen either by the eDSEF Review Committee, or in conjunction with school faculty. Please check with your school for details.
* An annual award of $1,500 will be granted to the winning essayist from each participating US dental school.
* Annual awards will be presented during spring awards ceremonies within each school.
* From the pool of annual $1,500 award recipients, the eDSEF Review Committee will choose the grand prize winning essay, the author of which will be awarded an additional $10,000 and an all expense-paid trip for two to Hawaii. The national award winners will spend seven days at the five diamond Halekulani oceanfront resort on Waikiki Beach in Oahu.
