Henry Schein One vows to defend Dentrix in statement
Following the October 3 lawsuit from Henry Schein One (HS One) against Vyne Dental alleging that Vyne engaged in unauthorized access of Dentrix, jeopardizing customer operations and data security, the battle continues 10 days later. HS One issued a statement on October 13.
“Despite repeated attempts to reach a secure resolution with Vyne Dental, Vyne has escalated its unauthorized access of Dentrix and put customer operations and security at risk,” the company stated.
“HS One is committed to protecting the security and stability of our customers’ software and patient data. Our API Exchange—the largest in dentistry, with more than 140 vendor partners—enables open integrations that preserve customer choice without compromising data integrity. HS One will continue to defend our customers, their data, and the security and integrity of the Dentrix platform.”
By filing this additional lawsuit, HS One says it is reaffirming its dedication to protecting customer data, promoting system reliability, and ensuring that innovation in dental technology happens responsibly.
The company emphasized that its API Exchange remains central to this mission—offering open, secure, and transparent collaboration opportunities for dental technology partners while maintaining the high standards of security and performance that dental practices depend on.
