A Center City dentist and his daughter have been indicted on charges of billing insurance companies for almost $5 million in fraudulent medical bills through the pain management clinic they operate together.

According to District Attorney Seth Williams, the two repeatedly billed 15 insurance companies $4,800 for a procedure that costs $800 at the most. The routine, low-risk procedure was characterized as a delicate form of brain surgery.
