Dentrix Dental Systems, Inc. recently announced that it has signed an agreement with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, to receive dental electronic attachments with eClaims that are sent by Dentrix customers.
With eClaims Attachments, doctors can attach any image from the DENTRIX database to a patient's electronic claim. This service eliminates the need for double entry of data, and streamlines insurance submission and processing. The end result is increased efficiency and quicker payment on claims for the practice and easy access to all applicable information for insurance payors.
"We are thrilled to provide doctors with the latest technology available," said Kay Barton, manager of Dentrix eServices, "When you consider the amount of duplicate films, perio charts, and narratives an office makes, combined with the time it takes for insurance companies to request an attachment, using electronic attachments from within DENTRIX will save a practice thousands of dollars every year."
When an insurance claim is created electronically, dentists can easily choose to attach any applicable image. This eliminates delays in payment by providing all pertinent information from the start, not as it's requested by the payor.
"We are excited to add Dentrix as a vendor to offer dental offices the option to transmit x-rays and intra-oral pictures via the Internet. Receiving needed x-rays electronically gives us the ability to process claims in a more timely process, thus improving the customer's experience with Guardian," states Sharri Bachman, Manager of Guardian Dental Claims.
