NEW YORK--The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian) has announced the introduction of Vision Access, a free upgrade that will offer network discounts on vision exams and materials for dental insurance members who do not already have vision coverage.
"Last year we introduced Maximum Rollover and standard coverage of dental implants in order to meet the dental care needs of our customers," said Rich White, Senior Vice President, Guardian, Group Insurance.
"This is one more step we are taking to demonstrate our commitment to our customers--offering them free access to vision network discounts."
Vision Access discounts include exams, frames, lenses, contacts and laser surgery. Since Vision Access is not insurance, members do not have to submit claims forms, they simply pay the discounted charge directly to the network provider.
"We found that many Dental customers are lacking affordable vision care," said John Foley, Vice President of the Dental/Vision Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Group Products, Guardian.
"In response, we are pleased to provide our Dental planholders that do not have vision coverage with this convenient alternative."
Vision Access is available with new business PPO, Indemnity and Pre-Paid Dental cases of any size.
