Sirona Dental Systems recently won the coveted red dot product design award for its new inEos Dental Digitizer.
With more than 4,000 entries from 40 countries the red dot design award ranks among the largest design competitions worldwide. The competition is divided into three sections: product design, communication design, and design concept, which are staged and judged separately.
Deciding factors for the independent jury's decision to select the inEos Dental Digitizer included its clean, streamlined design, that follows functionality and sets it apart from virtually all dental scanners on the market today.
Sirona commissioned dental laboratory technicians from all over the world to discover their working habits and their preferences. In this way, essential insight was gained into their working processes, which was then incorporated into the design guidelines for the inEos. These design guidelines included an extensive range of features that make the inEos Dental Digitizer the fastest scanner on the market.
The red dot is recognized as a seal of quality and stands for acceptance among the very best in design and business. There were several other winners in the product design category, and Sirona inLab's inEos Dental Digitizer was placed among several prominent American and international brand names such as Apple iPod, Porsche 911 Carrera, and Nike Triax.
"Sirona is proud to announce that the new inEos scanner has placed among the highest in product design," remarked Norbert Ulmer, Sirona's marketing and sales manager, CAD/CAM lab applications. "We take pride in having our name among the outstanding companies included in this category."
