We need to talk . . . privately

March 26, 2018
Dentists are joining private Facebook groups and enjoying the professional interaction with their peers. They feel comfortable sharing with each other. The new Dental Economics Facebook page is no exception. Join today!

Dentists have been flocking to private Facebook groups in droves during the past year. It makes sense. Right now you’re probably already logged into your Facebook account on at least one device. You can check up on your friends and family, message someone, and watch cat videos with minimal effort.

But you can also watch videos of dentists designing CAD/CAM restorations. You can then ask them directly about their technique and receive a response. You can ask a group of dental colleagues about how to fire your front desk person for stealing and receive several meaningful responses. Yes, social networks have been around for over a decade, but it was only until dentists discovered private Facebook groups that we went nuts.

I can tell you that I feel a lot more comfortable asking a stupid question on Facebook when I know my non-dentist circle of friends can’t see it. It appears you feel the same way. There are private Facebook groups for so many niches in our profession and it’s time that Dental Economics join the fray.

So let’s connect at the DE’s Principles of Practice Management private Facebook group. We’ll talk business. We’ll vent about our stressful days in a safe space. We’ll kill time between patients and feel productive. You’ll get to speak directly with me and the other authors from Dental Economics. We’ll all help each other improve our business games. I look forward to seeing you there.

Cheers,

Chris
