Designed for the general dentist and endodontist, Unicore Accessory Posts were created to be placed in the root canal alongside a master post, such as the Unicore Post. Unicore Accessory Posts are designed to fill voids in the root canal, improving in the overall strength of the post-and-core unit. Adding accessory posts allows for much better adaptation in the case of flared and oval canals, eliminating the need for an additional drilling procedure.
Unicore Accessory Posts feature a tapered shaft for dentin conservation and enhanced adaptation in flared canals. This minimizes gap formation as well as polymerization shrinkage. Unicore Accessory Posts are stronger than composite resins, providing reinforcement of the restoration inside and outside. They feature high translucency for optimal aesthetics and light conductivity, and they are also radiopaque, making them easy to see in radiographs.
