The American Red Cross is starting a new Dental Assistant Program in May for dependents of U.S. service members or retired service members.
While most dental assistant programs can cost up to $8,000 to complete, this one is practically free, aside from a low administrative fee. The program will consist of two weeks of classroom instruction and 600 hours of chair-side assistance, to be completed by December.
Prerequisites include a high school diploma or equivalent and a desire to learn.
Those who complete the program will receive a certificate from the American Red Cross.
The deadline to apply for the May course is February 22. Read more here.
