While attending the recent Greater New York Dental Meeting, I sat down with Barbara Shearer, PhD, director of scientific affairs for Colgate, to discuss the new Colgate Total Whole Mouth Health toothpaste.
As Dental Assisting Digest editorial director, I wanted to do this interview to ask Dr. Shearer not only about the new product, but also what implications it has for dental assistants. In our interview, we discussed the concept of whole mouth health and what impact that has on patients while in the practice. Of course, we know the relationship role that assistants have with their patients, so I asked Dr. Shearer what assistants need to know about this new concept and new product.
