turkey kitchen hygienist
Erika Feltham, RDH, recently had a recare patient who was very excited about a photograph on her cell. The patient, Marise Williams, had an early arrival for Thanksgiving — a turkey.Feltham, who was one of the eight recipients of the 2010 Sunstar Americas/RDH magazine Award of Distinction, said, "Early this morning, my long-time dental patient in for her six-month re-care/cleaning, showed me this amazing picture on her cell phone of a turkey in her kitchen...only in Fallbrook!"

Fallbrook, Calif., also known as the Avocado Capital of the World, is home to the practice for Dr. Ed Stewart, where Feltham is employed.
Feltham said Williams told her, "Here is the picture of the turkey. He had been wandering the neighborhood. I left the back patio doors open and found him standing on my kitchen sink."
"Fallbrook is not a city," Feltham said, "It is more country with a lot of winding roads, fruit groves, etc., with room for a lot of different critters to roam about — like this early bird."
