New State-of-the Art Clinic Presents a Win-Win for Students And Consumer Public

BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- A new student dental

hygiene clinic established by Argosy University/Twin Cities, formerly the Medical Institute of Minnesota, could be a consumer's answer to the rising cost of dental care.

Argosy University/Twin Cities' new state-of-the art dental hygiene

clinic provides a win-win situation for students and consumers. The clinic helps students enrolled in Argosy's dental hygiene program meet their clinical requirements by practicing oral hygiene skills under the supervision of a dentist and clinical instructor. The public benefits by receiving quality,

professional dental hygiene services at rates significantly lower than

area dental clinics.

"Student enrollment across the institution has dramatically

increased for the fall semester and because we have more dental hygiene students we need more patients," said William Cowan, campus president, Argosy University/Twin Cities. "Our students are supervised by experienced faculty who not only teach dental hygiene, but are dentists and dental hygienists as well."

The clinic offers quality, professional dental hygiene services at

rates significantly lower than area dental clinics. Services offered at the clinic include teeth cleaning for adults and children; tooth whitening, oral x-rays, and other preventive care services. Rates for preventive services and x-rays range from $5.00 to $20.00; periodontal services and full mouth whitening costs range from $45.00 to $55.00. Persons over age 55 receive all services at half price.

Argosy University/Twin Cities offers an accredited associate's

degree program in dental hygiene and in addition to classroom and laboratory studies, students achieve their clinical competency at the dental clinic.

The clinic is conveniently located in Bloomington on the Argosy

University/Twin Cities campus at 5503 Green Valley Drive near the
