Tammy S. Clossen, assistant professor of dental hygiene at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be honored for the second consecutive year in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers."
Clossen's biography will appear in the 10th edition of the book, to be published later this year. Clossen also appeared in the book's ninth edition, published in 2005.
Teachers who are honored in the book have been nominated by a former student. Students listed in "Who's Who Among American High School Students," "Who's Who Among American High School Students-Sports Edition" and "The National Dean's List" are invited to nominate a former teacher who has contributed significantly to their success and growth.
Clossen has taught at Penn College since 2001. Prior to joining Penn College's faculty, she was an assistant professor of dental hygiene at Harrisburg Area Community College. She has worked as a hygienist since 1992 and continues to supervise the dental hygiene program in Dr. George Pepper's Bloomsburg office.
Clossen holds a doctorate and a master's degree in workforce education and development from The Pennsylvania State University. She received bachelor's and associate degrees in dental hygiene-health policy and administration and dental hygiene from Penn College.
