Air Techniques introduces ProVecta HD Intraoral X-Ray System

Feb. 20, 2015
Air Techniques Inc. is announcing the introduction of ProVecta HD Intraoral X-Ray System.

Air Techniques Inc., an innovator and manufacturer of dental equipment, is announcing the introduction of ProVecta HD Intraoral X-Ray System. This next generation of X-Ray system, from Air Techniques, has been designed to deliver perfect function capabilities with unsuppressed image resolution.

ProVecta HD features a 0.4 mm focal point for maximum image sharpness, compared to the typical 0.7 mm focal point of other X-Ray units. The smaller focal spot of ProVecta HD allows for a greater contrast resolution, providing sharper edge definition and finer details of internal structures. ProVecta HD offers adjustable mA, kV, and exposure time and an optional rectangular radiation field collimator. Its DC technology allows constant radiation levels to ensure reliable image quality. The DC tube reduces the patient dose by more than 25% in comparison to conventional AC units, ensuring greater safety for the patient and clinician.

“This is an exciting year for Air Techniques’ digital line, with the recent launch of Luna HD and now the introduction of ProVecta HD,” said Frank Seipp, Air Techniques’ digital product manager. “ProVecta HD expands our product offering and provides dental practices with a modern, state-of-the-art intraoral X-Ray that is user friendly.”

ProVecta HD’s space-saving design is coupled with its right-angle/parallel technology, allowing it to work in tight spaces, unlike less-advanced units. It offers three extended arm lengths, available in 68 inches, 74 inches and 86 inches. ProVecta HD’s generator head handle allows precise positioning, making the process more comfortable for both the clinician and the patient. The intuitive control panel enables faster workflow and fewer errors with user-friendly icons for quick and accurate selection of tooth area (front, premolar, molar, bitewing) and size of patient (adult/child).

ProVecta HD works with wired sensors, cordless flexible phosphor sensors (PSPs), and film. For more information on ProVecta HD and all other product offerings from Air Techniques, please visit:
