The Chicago Dental Society (CDS) has announced that the 2026 Midwinter Meeting will feature an expanded Exhibit Hall and a slate of upgrades designed to improve the experience for both attendees and exhibitors. The event, the largest scientific dental meeting in North America, will take place February 19–21 at McCormick Place West in Chicago.

CDS President Dr. Phil Schefke said the changes were driven by attendee and exhibitor feedback. “We listened to what our attendees and exhibitors had to say, and this year we’re excited to introduce enhancements that make the Midwinter Meeting easier, more engaging, and more comfortable—whether you’ve attended for decades or you’re coming for the first time,” he said.

What’s new for attendees

The Exhibit Hall will be larger than ever and redesigned with added comforts to keep attendees energized throughout the day—think more food and beverage stations, rest areas, and spaces to recharge. Technology upgrades also mean a smoother experience before and during the event:

  • A redesigned online course catalog makes it easier to search for CE by topic or specialty.
  • Attendees will no longer need to keep track of mailed badges; instead, badges can be printed onsite at kiosks or participating hotels.
  • The registration and check-in process has been streamlined for efficiency.

What’s new for exhibitors

Exhibitors will also benefit from enhanced conveniences and visibility opportunities. CDS has introduced a new exhibitor portal for managing booth space and sponsorships, and more sponsorship opportunities will be available than ever before.

New additions in the Exhibit Hall include:

  • Relax and Recharge Lounges for attendees, available for sponsorship.
  • Grab and Go Marketplaces for quick access to food and coffee.
  • Hadley’s Hounds Pet Park, where attendees can interact with puppies.
  • Graffiti Wall, featuring live art from a local artist.

“These features are designed to increase traffic, encourage engagement, and give attendees memorable experiences,” said Dr. Scott Smoron, chair of the 2026 Midwinter Meeting Exhibit Hall Committee.
