New educational initiative offered—Dental Integrators Association University

May 10, 2017
Free education. It's no longer a dream, thanks to the Dental Integrators Association and DIA University.

Free education! Isn’t that what all parents with college-bound kids want to hear? If your child’s employer is a member of the Dental Integrators Association (DIA), then that is exactly what they will receive through the DIA University.

The DIA is a network of more than 40 leading independent dental technology integration firms from across the United Statesexclusively dedicated to providing computer technology integration services to dental practices. It was formed to create and deliver a higher standard of quality and care for dental practice technology integration. At their recent annual conference, the Board of Directors announced the commencement of the DIA University.

“Can you imagine what it would be like for dental practices and specialty offices, if their managed service provider had free training readily available to them?” asked Michelle Hambidge, DIA Director of Marketing and Administration. “Training will be offered in a variety of formats, from live events to webinars and training manuals. All will be available at no charge to our members and their entire organization.”

Dental practices have the choice of with whom they entrust their entire technological infrastructure. A good choice is a firm that places consistent education, peer review, and leadership as top priorities. The DIA provides its members an opportunity to shorten the learning curve to bring you, their clients, the most effective dental technology solutions.

The Board of Directors has been working on this project since April 2015. They wanted to make sure they not only got it right for their members, but for dental practices as well. The program started with a bang at the recent conference, where a representative from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Cybersecurity Division was a keynote speaker. In addition, the FBI organized a panel discussion with a team of computer scientists and forensic examiners to answer questions on BitCoins, the DarkWeb, and the FBI’s Incident Responses.

“All the technical nuances were being discussed so that our members, can honestly say to their client, ‘We’ve got you covered’, that’s absolutely powerful," said DIA president Patrick Jacobwith. "That is the intention of the DIA-U, to arm our members to be better stewards for their clients.”
