Biolux Research announces patent allowance and filing of patent applications for light-accelerated orthodontics

Biolux Research Ltd. is pleased to announce that the European Patent Office recently communicated its intention to grant to Biolux a patent related to light therapy devices for treatment of bone disorders and biostimulation of bone and soft tissue. The patent specifically relates to Biolux’s proprietary devices for extraoral photobiomodulation of the jaw for dental applications.

VANCOUVER, B.C., CANADA — Biolux Research Ltd. is pleased to announce that the European Patent Office recently communicated its intention to grant to Biolux a patent related to light therapy devices for treatment of bone disorders and biostimulation of bone and soft tissue. The patent specifically relates to Biolux’s proprietary devices for extraoral photobiomodulation of the jaw for dental applications.

Biolux also announces the recent filings of two Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent applications for new apparatuses and methods for applying photobiomodulation, or light therapy, to orthodontic treatment and related procedures. PCT applications enable patent coverage in all countries that are parties to the treaty, which include all major orthodontic markets.
