If you’ve considered earning DANB certification but have been putting it off, now is the time to go for it! DANB exam fees will be increasing in 2016, so make this the year you become certified.
DANB exams and certifications are recognized or required in 38 states, plus the District of Columbia, the U.S. Air Force, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. There are currently more than 36,000 DANB certificants nationwide. To learn more about the dental assisting requirements across the country, visit DANB’s search-by-state map.
In addition to meeting state requirements, DANB certificants report many benefits, such as:
• Personal pride
• Greater earning power
• Increased career mobility
If you’re ready to advance in your career, earning DANB certification is a smart next step.
DANB is pleased to announce that there will be no exam fee increases in 2015. However, in order to keep up with inflation and rising operating costs, DANB’s Board of Directors has approved moderate exam fee increases, effective Jan. 1, 2016.
“As a nonprofit organization, DANB takes its fiduciary responsibilities to exam candidates and certificants seriously,” explains DANB’s Executive Director Cindy Durley, M.Ed., MBA. “DANB has not raised exam fees since 2011, and we are proud of our success at holding these costs down for five years.”The first step to earning DANB’s Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification is to download and review the CDA application packet."
The DALE Foundation, the official DANB affiliate, offers online review courses and study aids for each component of the CDA exam. To learn more, visit the DALE Foundation’s product catalog.
