Sir Richard Branson (currently worth $5.1 billion) to speak at Siroworld event in Orlando

March 3, 2016
Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Group and branding expert, will present to dentists and the dental industry at Sirona Dentsply's Siroworld event in August 2016.

The company newly-minted as Dentsply Sirona announced it will have one of the world's most recognizable billionares speak at its August Siroworld (SIROWORLD) event in Orlando.

Siroworld is Dentsply Sirona’s three-day educational event in which thousands of attendees are expected to gather to attend inventive breakout sessions, benefit from networking opportunities, and enjoy high-profile entertainment planned throughout the event.

According to Forbes, Branson is currently worth $5.1 billion. The business magnate and Virgin Group founder will engage the Siroworld audience with his story of success, technological innovations, and philanthropic efforts.

“For almost five decades, Richard Branson has remained a bastion of innovation,” said Sirona Dentsply Group Senior Vice President for the United States Commercial Organization Michael Augins. “His remarkable business acumen, noteworthy philanthropic endeavors, and magnetic personality will surely inspire event-goers and leave a lasting impression.”

Branson’s rise to prominence in the early 1970s is credited to his start as a mail order record retailer, which led to the founding of Virgin Records. Virgin Records went on to sign household names from the Sex Pistols to The Rolling Stones and became the biggest independent label in the world.

From Virgin Records, the English business tycoon developed Virgin into one of the world’s most beloved brands, Virgin Group. Virgin Group comprises hundreds of successful subsidiaries in over 50 countries, employing approximately 60,000 people. Today, Virgin is one of the world’s most irresistible brands and has expanded into diverse sectors from music and banking to airlines and the world’s first commercial spaceline.

Branson has found entrepreneurial ways to provoke positive change in the world. In 2004, he established the non-profit foundation Virgin Unite to tackle tough social and environment issues, and strives to make business a force for good.

Last week, Branson made headlines by unveiling the spaceship VSS Unity as part of Virgin Galactic, the world’s first commercial spaceline. Virgin Galactic will open access to space to change the world for good, starting with commercial spaceflights for humans and small satellites.
