ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Virginia--The 2009 annual meeting of the Academy of Osseointegration will offer a three-day scientific program Feb. 26-28, 2009, that will serve as a testing ground for new implant therapy technologies.

The theme of the meeting, which will be held at the San Diego Convention Center, is "A New Wave in Implant Therapy" and reflects the program committee's intention for a program that offers new evidence for contemporary treatment, program chair David Guichet, DDS, Orange, Calif., said.

"The academy's 2009 annual meeting will feature a slate of distinguished international experts who have been carefully chosen to address recent advances in light of existing, scientifically substantiated, protocols," Dr. Guichet explained.
